Mr. İbrahim Burkay, the President of Bursa CCI's Board of Directors said: "HOMETEX that brought the home textile industry together in Istanbul after a two-year hiatus, is a source of pride for both the industry and Türkiye."

President Burkay stated that KFA Fuarcılık INC, which is one of the subsidiaries of BTSO, has carried out very important organizations both in the country and abroad and we are happy to organize HOMETEX, which is one of the most prestigious fairs in the world in home textile industry, with a howling success. Our fair, hosted by TETSIAD and supported by both Turkish exporters' associations and chambers, was ended on a high note beyond expectations for our exhibitors and visitors.

1.5 BILLION DOLLARS OF BUSINESS VOLUME

"In addition to the procurement committee program we organized, the interest of foreign buyers who individually participated in the fair from different countries exceeded our expectations. In the business meetings held for the 5-day fair, a business volume of appr. 1.5 billion dollars was realized. For our industry, which has not been able to hold a fair for a long time, HOMETEX has become an utmost important organization leading to new collaborations. Our fair will be taking place next year at Istanbul Expo Center on May." said President Burkay while stating that thousands of qualified buyers from Türkiye and abroad visited the fair and signed new business connections.

HOMETEX STRENGTHENED THE EXPORT POTENTIAL OF INDUSTRY

President of TETSIAD, the umbrella organization of the home textile industry, Hasan Hüseyin Bayram, stated that The Turkish home textile industry is a domestic and national sector that provides the highest added value-added-value to the country's economy with an average export unit value per kilogram of more than 8 dollars. And he emphasized that HOMETEX brings a real power to the export potential of companies.

170 THOUSAND VISITS, THOUSANDS OF JOB MEETINGS

Mr. Bayram reminded that the Fair was hosted by TETSIAD this year, in cooperation with KFA Fuarcılık INC, with the emphasis of "Stronger, More Participant". "While 170,000 domestic and foreign visitors came to HOMETEX in 5 days, thousands of business meetings were held at the fair. As the Turkish home textile industry, we had a very efficient fair where we made the best use of the gap in the global market after the pandemic and managed to turn the crisis into an opportunity.

Collaborations with visitors coming to our fair from all over the world will become visible in production and exports in a short time and will make significant contributions to the development of our industry. Our home textile industry will increase its exports and its share in global trade with the contribution of HOMETEX.
